Celebrating International Women’s Day with IHPN’s Women Leaders Network
International Women’s Day is an important opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and advocate for greater gender equality.
Acacium Group has been actively supporting the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN) Women Leaders Network (WLN) since its launch just over 12 months ago, with Alex Ryan, our Director of Service Development, serving as Co-Chair.
Although still in its early stages, the WLN has made significant progress in creating a supportive environment for women leaders within independent healthcare by fostering professional connections, celebrating achievements, facilitating mentoring and sharing best practices on equality, diversity and inclusion. Some of these initiatives include:
Women Leaders Network (WLN) initiatives
- Networking events – Acacium Group hosted the second gathering of IHPN’s Women Leaders in Independent Healthcare, bringing together over 50 women leaders in the sector to foster connections and share insights.
- Advocacy and awareness – In recognition of International Women’s Day 2025, Acacium Group highlighted ongoing efforts to advance women in leadership within the independent healthcare sector, supporting IHPN’s initiatives.
Participation in IHPN events
- Annual summit – Alex Ryan attended IHPN’s ninth annual summit, where discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities in independent healthcare. Acacium Group’s workforce solutions director, Scott Siwicki, contributed insights on workforce retention, training and transformation.
Promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI)
- Evidence-based approach – Acacium Group has adopted an evidence-based EDI strategy, ensuring interventions are targeted and impactful. This includes leadership communications, tailored talent programmes, inclusive forums, practical training and data-driven assessments to enhance diversity and inclusion within the organisation.
As a leading global healthcare delivery partner, we remain committed to supporting IHPN’s mission, promoting leadership development, networking and diversity within the independent healthcare sector. We look forward to updating you on the impact sof these efforts at next year’s celebrations. Learn more about the IHPN’ s Women’s Network and their International Women’s Day celebrations.
