Kick-start your career with a global business and develop your experience and capabilities while improving people’s lives.
Acacium Group is a growing global business dedicated to putting people first. As an employer of choice, we can support your first crucial steps on the career ladder through work experience, internships, degree apprenticeships and apprenticeship programmes
Our Early Careers Programme was launched in 2017 to develop our future leaders of tomorrow. Over the years, our apprenticeship graduates have gone on to embark on exciting careers across the Group, positively impacting people’s lives across five continents.
What is an early careers programme?
Acacium Group’s Early Careers Programme helps young people gain the skills and qualifications they need to fulfil their career ambitions. We provide work experience, internships and certified apprenticeship programmes to help you gain valuable real-world experience in the workplace.
Apprenticeships are also a debt-free alternative to university where you can earn a wage while learning the skills and behaviours needed to excel in your career.
What opportunities are available?
Acacium Group’s Early Careers Programme enrols three cohorts across five UK locations annually. These cohorts operate across our Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, London and Hertfordshire headquarters.
Due to the number of sectors and brands our Group spans, there is a wide range of roles you can be matched with based on your skills, preferences, and career aspirations. These include;
- Administration
- Compliance
- Human resources
- Marketing
- Recruitment and sales
- Tech and transformation
If you are seeking an Early Careers opportunity outside the UK, please email careers@acaciumgroup.com and we’ll be in touch.
Who is it for?
Acacium Group’s Early Careers Programme is open to anyone who is looking to really kick start their career. The programme is designed to give you a foothold in the world of work, gaining valuable skills and experience to get the career you want.
We’re looking for applicants with a positive, proactive approach to learning new things. If you’re someone who enjoys working as a team, is comfortable asking questions and keen to embark on a rewarding and exciting career in a growing sector, then we want to hear from you.
You might have an end career goal in mind, or perhaps you want to try different things to see what’s for you. The benefit of working in an organisation the size and scale of Acacium Group is there are always opportunities for enthusiastic, hard-working people to thrive.
Why should I choose an Early Careers Programme?
Our Early Career Programmes have successfully developed fantastic new talent within our business – but don’t take it from us. Check out what our apprentices had to say.
As a global business, Acacium Group can offer employees and apprentices fantastic opportunities throughout their career. Our Early Careers team can work with you to design your dream job and help you to create a career pathway that’s right for you. From the support of a dedicated learning and development function to the number and variety of roles open to our teams, we want our people to achieve their personal and professional goals – because your success is our success!
Acacium Group has built a culture of inclusion and it’s important that individuals feel safe and supported to come to work as their authentic selves every day. You can take part in our employee-led diversity and inclusion networks, get involved with paid charity days and enjoy mentoring and support from across the business.
Once you’ve secured your place, you and your fellow apprentices will be learning and working together. You’ll face similar challenges and experience new things, forging friendships and learning from one another. There will be regular socials and celebrations – all culminating in a graduation ceremony once you’ve successfully completed your apprenticeship.
How long is the Apprenticeships Programme?
The length of your apprenticeship depends on your role and the level you come in at (if you’ve already embarked on an apprenticeship or other recognised qualifications in the past, for example). All programmes are a minimum of 12 months and throughout this time, you’ll be working towards a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to the level you’re studying.
Working with you to complete your apprenticeship is an investment, and we hope you’ll pursue a long and rewarding career with us. We can tailor the programme to your needs and will happily discuss individual circumstances.
What benefits will I get?
As an apprentice, you’ll enjoy all the same benefits as a full-time employee. On top of your wages, you’ll have access to exciting social events, shopping, gym and travel discounts, as well as specialist learning, mentoring and professional development support.
How will I be supported during my apprenticeship?
One of our values is ‘always by your side’ – and we will be. Our Early Careers team are here to help you throughout your apprenticeship journey. They are only ever a message or a call away.
What happens after I graduate?
Much like a university graduation, you’ll enjoy a dedicated ceremony where you’ll be presented with your certificate by our CEO, who will also award you a graduation trophy and a shopping voucher of your choice. All that’s left to do is celebrate with your fellow graduates!
Most of our apprentices go on to take full time roles within the business, taking on further training or challenges, setting their sights on their next career goal. Alternatively, you may want to go onto university or take a new role elsewhere. There’s no pressure and we’re happy to have these discussions with you throughout your time on the programme.
Is the Early Careers Programme right for me?
While we don’t require our apprentices to have high grades or work experience, we do expect them to share our passion for putting people first.
The best apprentices have proven to be those who learn by doing and grow by learning. If you have a can-do attitude and are excited about the prospect of starting a career in a global business, we’d love to learn more about you.
