Hi! I’m Abbie, a People Services Assistant in the People Team

I joined Acacium Group back in 2017 as a Trainee HR Administrator. Since then, I have progressed to a People Services Assistant and am currently studying towards my level 5 CIPD HR qualification. I chose to do this apprenticeship qualification because it’s an intermediate level 5 qualification, which is equivalent to degree level. I knew it would help me progress my career in HR, improving my knowledge and professional skills. Since being here, I’ve received a greater understanding of the HR function in general as well as within the Group. The People Team supports me massively, providing me with the help and exposure I need to develop my HR career.

Hi! I’m Emrys, MD for two Acacium Group businesses

I first joined Acacium Group as a Business Manager in 2014 and since then have progressed to Business Development Director, Operations Director and I’m now Managing Director of Pulse Nursing at Home and Thornbury Community Services. From the outset it was made clear to me that if I worked hard, I would get invested in. One of the most appealing things about coming to work for Acacium Group was knowing that if I performed well, not only would I have the opportunity to progress within my current business, there were over 20 other brands that also had opportunities. Having access to a huge network of like-minded people, all pulling in the same direction, makes this a great place to work. I also feel incredibly privileged to lead two fantastic organisations that have such a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Hi! I’m Claire, a Regional Director for Pulse

I joined Pulse in 2009 as a contract coordinator within the AHP division which was based in Manchester. My role entailed servicing the North West AHP & HSS contract and I specifically managed occupational therapists until 2010. An opportunity working within the Manchester Pulse Nursing team became available and I moved across, progressed quickly into a team leader position and began my management journey. I had a great mentor and I quickly learned that people are at the heart of what we do and that a consistent hard-working team would lead to success. I progressed to a business manager role, then a regional manager position and one year later moved into a regional director position with overall responsibility for the North. After almost 12 years I can honestly say that I enjoy my job as much now as I did at the beginning. I’m proof that Acacium Group rewards hard work, dedication and commitment.

Hi! I’m Douglas, a project-based Senior Operations Manager

I’m currently part of Acacium Group Testing Team that’s working on the IQVIA project and with other Covid-19 clients. Multiple divisions across Acacium Group have come together to service a single client which has been really exciting. I’ve been with the company for over 15 years, starting on the Scottish Nursing Guild placement desk, responsible for allocating nurses to clients. I then progressed to team leader, team manager, operations manager and now am now a senior operations manager. The company has rewarded my hard work, loyalty and commitment and it’s been thoroughly enjoyable seeing the Group mature and grow over the years. More recently, I’ve really valued being part of a cross-business project and I have no doubt it will happen again in the very near future. As a group we have so much capability and there are always opportunities for dedicated people.
