New partnership to transform workforce engagement and collaboration in North Central London

Global specialist healthcare delivery partner Acacium Group has announced its new partnership with the North Central London (NCL) Framework. In addition to the delivery of staff bank services across North Central London, the partnership provides access to additional services to support NCL with improvement initiatives, boosting collaboration across the sector.

Acacium Group will be managing the temporary staffing arrangements for nursing and midwifery, medical and dental, allied health professionals, and administrative and clerical staff groups across the framework, following a successful tender process. A key driver of the new partnership will be to facilitate collaboration and communication between providers and partners across all aspects of temporary workforce supply and demand.

The partnership will deepen relationships between NCL and Acacium Group, which has been providing staff bank services to Trusts on the framework since 2017 under its Bank Partners division.

Trusts currently on the framework include University College Hospitals NHS Trust (UCLH), Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, Whittington Health NHS Trust and North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

Alex Ryan, Group Director of Service Development at Acacium Group, commented: “We are delighted to be building on the previous success of the partnership between NCL and Acacium Group which has already delivered clear benefits and will continue to do so. This award will allow Trusts across the NCL to benefit from the vast range of services and experience that Acacium Group has to offer and means we can support and empower our partners to continue delivering incredible patient safety and care.”

Liz O’Hara, Director of Workforce at UCLH, commented: “We are keen to ensure that the new NCL Temporary Staffing Framework supports Trusts to drive continuous improvement, supporting collaboration as the Integrated Care System continues to evolve. We are confident that this new partnership with Acacium Group will deliver outstanding benefits not only for Trusts across North Central London but also for our valued healthcare colleagues and patients who continue to be our highest priority.”

The full service will launch in June 2023.
